ANALYSIS: There was a lot of talk this pre-season about the exciting young running back for the Bengals named Jeremy Hill. He was going to compliment Giovani Bernard in a thunder-and-lightning type offensive ground attack. However, that didn't really play out in the first week. Hill rushed only 4 times for 19 yards in the first game of the season, and probably disappointed many of his fantasy football owners. So why are we still touting him on our waiver wire sleepers list? Well, he's just way too talented, and the coaches have promised to get him more touches weekly.
If any of your fellow owners got trigger happy and dropped him, you should go scoop him up off the waiver wire. The Bengals OC Hue Jackson has approached Jeremy Hill and told him he will see more playing time going forward. He also faces Atlanta next, who just got torched by Mark Ingram for a couple of touchdowns. Giovani Bernard is a much better pass catching back than he is a pure rusher, so I could see Hill getting a lot of work in power run situations. Hill should be a decent FLEX play this year, but I might avoid him in PPR formats (unless you're in a deeper format) as his production may rely on touchdown volume. However, in any league where you're allowed to keep players for future years, Hill is a must add. I assume he's already owned in any such formats, but I wrote it out just in case. Now dash as fast as lightning to go pick him up.
