FanDuel MLB: Lineup Picks, DFS Advice & BvP Sleepers for 9/22

Below are some of my favorite FanDuel lineup picks for today's game, based on the player matchups and FanDuel pricing. I like to use our handy BvP (batter vs. pitcher) tool to analyze the hitter matchups and historical data against the pitchers they are facing-- I strongly recommend it

Remember, these picks are posted early in the day for your convenience, and without knowledge of the teams’ starting lineups. Always be sure to check starting lineups before finalizing your FanDuel entries.

Editor’s Note: be sure to check out RotoBaller’s BvP (batter vs. pitcher) analysis tool, which shows you all the daily matchup stats for every single hitter in the MLB.

Daily Fantasy DFS Picks - Monday, September 22nd

By Keith Allison on Flickr (Original version) UCinternational (Crop) [CC-BY-SA-2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia CommonsP: C.J. Wilson ($8,200): Wilson faces the a struggling A’s team tonight that prior to yesterday had not scored five or more runs since September 9th. Along with that, Wilson has been pitching better, going 3-0 with 19 strikeouts in his last three starts. Look for him to continue rolling and drop Oakland even further.

C: Yadier Molina ($2,300): This is simply too cheap for the amount of talent he has.  Molina has yet to hit a home run since his return from injury, but he had a few extra-base hits over the weekend which could spark him. Molina is also 14-for-35 with three home runs and 12 RBI for his career career against tonight's opponent Travis Wood.

1B: Kennys Vargas ($3,200): Since his call-up this year, Vargas has been one of the most consistent producers in all of fantasy baseball. Over the last month, he is hitting .280 with five home runs and 21 RBI. He has done most of that from the left side of the plate, which is where the switch-hitter will be tonight against the right-hander Josh Collmenter.

2B: Dee Gordon ($3,500): Before his 0-for-5 yesterday, Gordon had been one of the hottest hitters in all of baseball, with eight straight multi-hit performances.  Along with a stellar batting average, Gordon also has scored 90 runs and stolen 64 bases this year. Look for him to stay hot tonight.

SS: Jose Reyes ($3,300): Much like Molina, Reyes is just too cheap for the amount of talent he has. He has recorded a hit in eight of his last nine games. The Blue Jays have a tough matchup with James Paxton tonight, but they are always capable of a huge scoring night.

3B: Adrian Beltre ($3,400): Beltre has been a bit overlooked this year-- the Rangers have been absolutely awful, but Beltre has been spectacular. He has 51 extra base hits on the year, including three doubles this past Saturday. He is the best play at a weak 3B tonight.

OF: A.J. Pollock ($4,000): The Diamondbacks slugger has been very good since his return from injury. He has hits in six of his last seven games and draws a plus matchup against the very inconsistent Ricky Nolasco tonight. Pollock is likely going to be underowned tonight and could be a great GPP play.
