BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues (PPR, Standard)
Owned in 26% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: This weekend the Baltimore Ravens lost a vital part of their offense for the season when Dennis Pitta dislocated his right hip vs. Cleveland. Pitta, who was listed as the Raven's TE1, had successful surgery today but has been declared lost for the season. With this news, Owen Daniels will step up and become the new TE1 for the Ravens offense, making him the most recent TE added to our waiver wire sleepers list. Tight Ends in the Ravens' offense are an important part to their offensive game plan, as Pitta was the 7th most targeted TE on the season (22 targets). On the season Daniels has already shown what he can do when given an opportunity, with 10 catches 70 yards and 2 TDs in limited action. If you are looking for a short term TE option, Daniels is not a great choice vs. the Panthers defense in Week 4. However if you are looking for a long term TE option, Daniels would a nice waiver wire target for Week 4 in 12 team leagues or larger. On the season, I expect Daniels to finish with around 500-600 yards with 5 TDs, which would make him a lower tier TE (i.e. think a Heath Miller type). If you are in a shallower league of 10 teams, I would recommend monitoring him for now.
