BALLER MOVE: Add Immediately in All leagues
ANALYSIS: Before going down with a hand injury Mark Ingram, was having the break-out year many of us had wished for him. On the season he has rushed 24 times for 143 yards and 3 touchdowns, in only 2 games. That would be a 6.0 yards per carry average... and 3 touchdowns. Obviously, those are some really good numbers. Unfortunately for those who took the bet on him on draft day, such as myself, Ingram was injured for a few weeks and had to get surgery. He's been out for a while and it almost feels like he's been forgotten about in some leagues. But now Mark Ingram is due back.
I'm not saying that he will instantly get back to the level of awesome performances he had in the first two games, but he is certainly worth owning in a year where running backs are very volatile. Khiry Robinson performed pretty well in Ingram's absence, but I expect Ingram to fully take his job back on the Saints high-upside offense. The Saints may never get Ingram the touches he needs to be a true fantasy football star, because running isn't really their team's DNA, but he's shown he can make a difference even for fantasy owners on limited touches. Go get him off the Week 7 waiver wire if he's somehow still available, before someone else in your league realizes that he is sitting out there.
