ANALYSIS: The Vikings' rookie has really proven himself in Adrian Peterson's absence over the last three weeks, during which he has run for 199 yards on 36 touches, good enough for 5.3 yards per carry. McKinnon was the starter for last Sunday's game against the Lions, and earned 11 carries to Matt Asiata's two. An extremely deep sleeper heading into the draft, McKinnon is now essentially a starter in Minnesota and is therefore more valuable than Asiata. His long-term fantasy appeal remains in question, especially on a team with Adrian Peterson, but the touches McKinnon will get make him an intriguing RB2 or flex play for the short term going forward. Grab him while you can, even if it is just to stash him on your bench.
