BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues (BYE Week Fill-In)
Owned in 5% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: With the news of Knowshon Moreno's torn ACL, Daniel Thomas has resumed the role of backup running back for the Dolphins. A fourth-year back with a career high of 581 yards is nothing to write home about, but given Lamar Miller's tendency to fumble at times, Thomas could be seeing a decent number of touches going forward if that starts happening. Regardless of the fact that he has just 14 carries so far this year, his 5.4 yards per carry average is impressive.
Thomas will not give you 100+ yard games on a weekly basis, but he has not lost a fumble in over 170 touches, so he is somewhat reliable. Don't get me wrong, Thomas is not a guy who should be started across the board. But if you are an owner in a deeper league looking to replace a Frank Gore or a C.J. Spiller this week, and have a bye week crunch, Thomas has a favorable matchup against an easily penetrated Jacksonville defense, and could be worth a shot off the Week 8 waiver wire.
