BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues
Owned in 54% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: With the news that DeAngelo Williams will start at running back for the Panthers tonight against the Saints, he immediately becomes a fantasy football waiver wire option for Week 9. The 31-year-old Williams may have his best days behind him, but has been running at roughly 4.2 yards per carry consistently for the last two years, plus the first two games of this season. Even if he splits carries with Jonathan Stewart, he should still be able to pick up enough yards to make an impact in deeper leagues, and could even find the end zone against a mediocre New Orleans run defense. With six teams on bye this week, Williams slides in as a low-end RB2/flex option, depending on your roster, in 12- or 14-team leagues. Owners in the 46% of leagues that see Williams' name on the waiver wire might want to grab the newly-healthy running back, especially for a roster plagued with injuries or bye weeks.
