Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off.  If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Top DFS Picks (Worth the Investment)

Marc Gasol (MEM, C) - $8,200

With the third highest price but the second highest value in terms of FanDuel (FD) points on today’s slate of games while playing a position that has somewhat dominated Milwaukee this season, the younger Gasol begins the day with potential to put up 40-to-50 FD points.

The only downside is his performance from Friday night (eight points on 4-of-11 shooting, nine boards and three blocks in 41 minutes), so one has to wonder if fatigue could set in for today’s away game. Even still, considering the other options at the center position, Gasol’s matchup is difficult to ignore.

Nicholas Batum (POR, SF) - $6,900

Batum’s shooting so far into this young season is certainly cause for concern. However, the young Frenchman has improved in every other part of his game. Considering the FD points that are dished out to well-rounded players, Batum still has strong value, as he is averaging 7.4 boards, 5.8 assists, 1.2 treys  and 1.0 steals per game.

Meanwhile this afternoon's opposition, the Clippers, have not had a lot of consistency from the swing positions, increasing the likelihood that today is the day Batum raises that scoring average.

Jimmy Butler (CHI, SG) - $6,700

With Derrick Rose sidelined, Butler will have a more integral role in the Bulls’ offense.  In all likelihood, Butler will be playing the role of “Jimmy” from Seinfeld on the court, in that he will be taking his fair shares of shots while staying aggressive on both sides of the ball.  Owners are okay with that.

Over his last four games, Butler has scored 33.8, 40.3, 35.7 and 41.9 FD points, respectively. He is perhaps the top play of the day considering budget and production values.

Best DFS Values (Sleepers)

Shawne Williams (MIA, SF) - $4,400

With Josh McRoberts seeing less and less action due to injury, Williams has seen increased court time with productive results while being inserted into the starting lineup. Minnesota does not have a great recent track record against forwards, making Williams' start an exploitable one.

Williams has consistently put up over 20 FD points through his last four games. Considering his matchup today, there is no reason he should not hit the 30 FD point plateau.

Boris Diaw (PF, SA) - $4,300

Diaw is another guy that should see increased playing time due to an injury in front of him. In limited time this season, the 32-year-old veteran is averaging 20.4 FD points per game, so his budget value compared to point value should really help if others decide to stack more expensive options.

On another positive note, the Spurs are playing after an off-day, so there should not be any strange mix-ups with the starting lineup and subsequent rotation. Of course this is the mad scientist Gregg Popovich we are talking about.
