NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers - FanDuel Advice for 1/10

All throughout the 2014-15 campaign, RotoBaller will be giving you the top NBA DFS lineup picks at the guard, forward and center positions as well as top sleepers for the day. Below are our favorite picks for January 10th, 2015.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Editors Note: If you have not tried out FanDuel 1-day fantasy basketball leagues, RotoBaller offers the best bonuses around. Signup and make a deposit for a new FanDuel account, and receive a 100% bonus on your deposit up to $200.

Please note that most leagues and tournaments on FanDuel do not include Saturday’s afternoon games and so we will focus only on the night games.  If you are in a league wherein the afternoon games are included, it would be smart to consider Kemba Walker (CHA, PG) no matter what type of lineup you choose.  Dude is on fire right now and will face a decimated- physically and psychologically- Knick’s team.  Pay the man, Shirley (sorry Norman Chad).

Worth the Investment

LaMarcus Aldridge (POR, PF) - $10,000

Who is going to guard Aldridge?  No seriously, who will?  Channing Frye has been a ghost most of the season and Kyle O’Quinn, though playing decently in Kyle O’Quinn terms, isn’t exactly in the same hemisphere as LMA.  It’s possibly that Nikola Vucevic will be given the task of slowing LMA down.  It’s an interesting matchup, but Vucevic owns a 104 defensive rating as compared to LMA’s 108 offensive rating.  Aldridge should post big numbers Saturday night.  Beware the blowout.

Kyle Lowry (TOR, PG) - $9,800

Clearly, Lowry is the best FanDuel point guard available on the slate of Saturday night games.  When coming off one day of rest, Lowry is at his most efficient as his turnover and points take a dip but his assists and rebounds per game jump up.  Boston isn’t exactly a premier defensive team as the Celtics are in the bottom ten of the league in FDPPG allowed to point guards.

Danny Green (SAS, SG) - $6,400

The Spurs are on the tail end of a back-to-back Saturday night so one can only imagine that Gregg Popovich will rest Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker.  Of course all those guys played 20-24 minutes in Friday’s win against Phoenix so maybe Pop will play them?  Who knows what goes on in the guy’s head.

What we do know is that Green has been a consistent minutes eater for him and the Spurs.  Minnesota isn’t exactly a primetime matchup to play an aging nucleus.  Expect Green to once again shoulder the offensive load and grab some big numbers against a terrible Timberwolves defense.

Honorable Mention

Jimmy Butler (CHI, SG) - $9,400

Butler didn’t crack this list mainly because of his price, however if you’re planning a stars and scrubs lineup, it’s hard to pass up on Jimmy.  The Bulls are out for blood after their frustrating loss on Friday night to the Wizards.  Unfortunately for Milwaukee, the Bucks are standing in the way of a potential freight train.  Look for Butler to off against an overmatched platoon of Giannis Antetokounmpo, O.J. Mayo and Khris Middleton.

Top Sleepers

Evan Turner (BOS, SG) - $5,300

Lowry’s defensive inefficiencies are beginning to become exposed by more physical guards.  Opposing points are having great FanDuel days when being guarded by Lowry and although Turner isn’t a point guard for FanDuel purposes, he has been the main ball handler during this time of heavy trading for Boston.  Turner has not scored a ton of points but he has been complete in grabbing rebounds and recording dimes.  His owners should expect more of the same Saturday night.

Jonas Jerebko (DET, PF) - $4,100

It was a long process of deciding between Jerebko or Kyle Singler, but ultimately Jerebko is due for more minutes against Brooklyn than Singler is plus the Nets have been a little better at defending the swingman position than the forward spot.  At 6’10 and with a sweet mid-range jumper, Jerebko offers all sorts of matchup problems for the lowly Nets.  Brooklyn is coming off a wretched loss to Philadelphia and although Detroit has a worse winning percentage, it’s clear the Pistons are the team on the upswing.  Jerebko should be a big part of the winning formula Saturday night.
