Wayne Ellington (SG, LAL) - NBA Waiver Wire Pickup

BALLER MOVE: Add as a three point specialist

OWNED: 27% on Yahoo! Fantasy Basketball leagues

ANALYSIS: In a true sign of Laker irrelevance, Wayne Ellington is only a quarter owned despite flirting with 40 minutes a night. Though not a must own in all leagues, he is definitely someone to consider if you're looking for 3-point help. The former Tar Heel (ignoring the stink bomb against the Knicks from a week ago) has been on a tear of late, culminating in a 19 point, 5 trey game in Milwaukee on Wednesday. Most eye opening has been his minutes though, as he is averaging over 39 in the past six games with solid splits of 19 points and 2.5 threes but only 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a little more than a steal a game. But he's a shooter and he's getting minutes in L.A. so there will be nights where he's on fire; it just comes down to whether or not you can guess correctly. Should his minutes begin plummeting, his value follows. In the meantime, he's an interesting stream (and an even more interesting guard play if you're punting assists).
