NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers - FanDuel Advice for 3/6/15

All throughout the 2014-15 NBA campaign, RotoBaller will be analyzing the top NBA DFS lineup picks and providing our expert advice for the best sleepers at the guard, forward and center positions. Below are our favorite FanDuel DFS picks for March 6, 2015.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Worth the Investment

Greg Monroe (DET, PF) - $8,000

Though Terrence Jones has stepped his game up as of late, he is still overmatched (if he plays) by a more dominating Monroe in Friday night’s game at Houston.  And if Jones does not play due to back problem, there is no one on Houston that can defend him.

Marc Gasol (MEM, C) - $7,700

Although the Lakers have played better since the All Star Break, they are still the Lakers and they are still extremely nice to opposing big men.  For mostly unseen reasons, though probably due to the recent rise of cheaper alternatives like Hassan Whiteside and Rudy Gobert, Gasol has seen his price drop to a more moderate value and should give a solid return on investment.  Just beware the blowout.

Kawhi Leonard (SA, SF) - $7,300

San Antonio will host the “six weeks” Nuggets, a team that has given up the most production to opposing swingmen on the season and within the last ten games.  Leonard has scored at least 35.5 FDPPG over his last four while only seeing high 20 to mid-30s of playing time.  With a moderate pricetag, Leonard should be amongst the top values of the day.

Monta Ellis (DAL, SG) - $6,700

Ellis played only 32 minutes in Thursday night’s game in Portland so he should be relatively fresh.  He also is quite productive when playing on zero days of rest.  Golden State has been lock down on perimeter defense over the last month but Ellis thrives against up-tempo teams like the Warriors.  This could also mean that the Warriors are overdue to give up a big game to an opposing two-guard to come back to their league average and it would make sense for Ellis to want to stick it to his former teammates.

George Hill (IND, PG) - $6,400

The loss of Derrick Rose has not been as hurtful for the Bulls on the offensive end as it has on the defensive side of the ball.  Rose was not exactly a top perimeter defender, but the Bulls have given up 51.8 FDPP to opposing point guards over their last five, over 11 FDP over their season average.  Meanwhile Hill has steadily improved his game and is currently playing the best ball of the season.  He should have no problem matching up with Aaron Brooks.

Top Sleeper

Wesley Johnson (LAL, SF) - $3,900

Someone has to score for the Lakers.  Right?  Johnson has been really hit or miss but he has taken advantage of his opportunities when playing against a team that lacks a strong defender against the swing position.  Though Memphis is a tough out, Jeff Green and the Grizzlies have given up the fifth most FDP to opposing small forwards over the last five games.
