DraftKings DFS – NBA Fantasy Basketball Advice & Value Picks (3/11/15)

Below are some DraftKings DFS lineup picks for today’s NBA action, March 11th, 2015. These players represent potential fantasy basketball sleepers based on their matchups, and can be strong DFS lineup plays based on their DraftKings prices and dollar values.

Keep in mind, DFS fantasy basketball is a fast-paced environment that includes last minute changes, so be sure to check NBA injury reports and your DFS lineups prior to tip-off.

Worth the Investment

James Harden (HOU, SG) - $10,800

It is extremely hard to not put Russell Westbrook as the top play for today, however his price has skyrocketed to an astounding $12,500. Because of that, Harden earns the nod today as he has nearly an identical floor and ceiling as Westbrook despite being $1,700 less. He has been over 40 fantasy points in seven straight games including two games over 75 fantasy points.

Harden faces a Portland team that has just lost its top wing defender in Wesley Mathews and although Aaron Afflalo and Nicolas Batum are solid, he should be able to overcome them and put up a big fantasy night. Expect Harden to hit his season average which of 50.8 fantasy points.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL, SF) - $6,900

Coming off of a career high 29 points Monday against the Pelicans, Antetokounmpo is in a prime position tonight against the Magic. Outside of a dud against Washington last week, the Greek Freak has been over 20 fantasy points in each of his last 10 games. He has clearly gotten the attention of coach Jason Kidd as he has played over 34 minutes in seven straight games while bumping his fantasy output to 27.7 per night.

Orlando is coming in on the back end of a back-to-back after getting absolutely torched by Rodney Stuckey last night. Tobias Harris is likely to struggle again tonight and Antetokounmpo should be able to blow out his moderate salary.

Brook Lopez (BKN, C) - $6,100

Like many nights center is a fairly deep position but Lopez stands out as the top play of the evening. Since being inserted into the starting lineup three games ago, he has put up three huge games in which he has gone over 6X value in each. That has come mainly from his scoring with three games of more than 15 shots along with a surprising three straight double-doubles.

Although Miami does play a slower paced game, they will be without Hassan Whiteside which means they will likely roll out a combination of Udonis Haslem and Chris Anderson against Lopez. He will not do much in terms of blocks, steals or assists, but for just $6,100 Lopez is showing why he was once considered an elite offensive center.

Top Sleepers

T.J. Warren (PHO, SF) - $3,000

A true value play, the minimum priced Warren should be in line for a minutes boost with no Brandon Knight tonight. Prior to Knight’s injury, coach Jeff Hornacek had already made it known he wanted to get the versatile rookie some time at the shooting guard position. He ended last game with a solid 24 minutes while posting 14.5 fantasy points.

Warren’s boxscores are not a thing of beauty but that is largely due to a lack of playing time which should change tonight. Along with a boost in playing time, Warren will be facing a Timberwolves team that struggles to defend opposing wings as they are 29th against opposing small forwards and 30th against shooting guards.

In what should be an high scoring game, a minimum priced player who should see over 25 minutes could be a great way to get exposure in a GPP.

Marvin Williams (CHA, PF) - $3,400

With no Cody Zeller tonight due to injury, Williams is likely to draw the start and should be a solid boost in minutes and production for the Hornets. Over the last 10 games, Williams has been over 20 points four different times while reaching double figures in all but one. That does not sound like overwhelming productivity but considering he has to post just 20.4 points to hit 6x value it is a positive note.

With George Karl at the helm for Sacramento, the Kings have tried to go smaller which means more Rudy Gay at the power forward and a quicker pace, both things that will benefit Williams tonight.
