Worth The FanDuel Investment
Stephen Curry (GS, PG) - $10,000
Clearly Russell Westbrook is the top point guard play of Saturday, but who wants to pay that astronomical number? At nearly $3,000 less, Curry offers similar value and gives owners more breathing room for some of the guys below. Curry has stirred up a total of 152 FDP over his last three games.
LaMarcus Aldridge (POR, PF) - $9,400
Anytime a forward goes up against Denver, you know that forward is going to get some looks in DFS plays. And it just so happens that the forward going up against Denver on Saturday is one of the best in the world. Look for Aldridge to come up big and record a 40+ FDP game.
Al Jefferson (CHA, C) - $7,700
Despite being somewhat banged up, Big Al has really come on as of late. Jefferson would have his hands full going up against Atlanta big men Al Horford and Paul Millsap, but after wrapping up the number one seed on Friday night, it is very likely that Horford and Millsap see a big drop in minutes. Look for Big Al to take advantage of the backups.
Danilo Gallinari (DEN, SF) - $6,700
Portland has struggled at times to defend the swing position and Saturday looks to be one of those days they will continue that ineptitude. In what should be a high scoring affair, Gallinari figures to be the first or second scoring option on the floor for the Nuggets.
Gerald Henderson (CHA, SF) - $5,400
Another guy that thrives on picking on back-ups is Henderson. DeMarre Carroll figures to also see a decrease in playing and that is when the slashing Henderson should take advantage. Of course, this all is predicated on most of Atlanta’s starters seeing less playing time, so make sure to check the pregame notes as often as possible.
DFS Sleeper Picks
Arron Afflalo (POR, SF) - $3,800
Afflalo will have to get a gut check before Saturday night’s game against his former squad, because this could really go either way. In an effort to stick it to his old teammates, he could really go off in a good or bad way. With his price and a FDPPG of 19.7, we’re going with the former rather than the latter.
Mitch McGary (OKC, PF) - $3,800
Serge Ibaka is still out. Kevin Durant will miss the rest of the season. Dion Waiters is rather inconsistent. It is time for McGary to put on his big boy pants. It seems McGary has gotten the message as he has seen an increase in minutes, points and rebounds over his last three. Expect more of the same Saturday night.
