The St. Louis Cardinals will call up their top prospect, Stephen Piscotty, and he will join the team on Tuesday in Chicago against the Sox, according to STLSportsPage.com.
Piscotty, 24, will likely play some first base for the Cards after playing his last 10 games at Triple-A Memphis. Throughout his minor league career, he has mostly been an outfielder and third basemen. Since Matt Adams might not return at all this season from a quad injury, Piscotty could move Mark Reynolds to the bench.

Reynolds has a .229 BA with 8 HR and 33 RBI with the Cards this season. He has traditionally been a power hitter that strikes out a lot and doesn’t hit for average. The power has been down this year, so coming off the bench might suit Reynolds better.
Piscotty has been on fire of late in the minors with a .314/.401/.497 batting line over his last 42 games. He has 11 HR, 41 RBI, 46 BB and .272 BA this year. In four minor league seasons, he has produced on every level.
