Matt Garza (Shoulder) Activated From DL: Start Tuesday Against Indians

Matt Garza will be activated from the DL and start on Tuesday for the Milwaukee Brewers as they begin a three-game series against the Cleveland Indians, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Garza, 31, will be returning from tendinitis in his right shoulder that knocked him out of action on July 3. The right-hander will look to bounce back from a shaky season but especially bad over his last four starts.

In 2015, Garza is 4-10 with a 5.55 ERA and a 1.55 WHIP. Over his last four starts, he allowed 21 runs in 24 innings pitched. He’ll be facing a Cleveland team that is ranked 20th in runs scored per game.

The Indians (44-47) have won two in a row while the Brewers (41-52) have been one of the hottest teams in the MLB over the last month. They are coming off a three-game sweep over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Tyler Cravy has been designated for assignment to make room for Garza. Cravy last pitched on July 7 in place of Garza. He allowed four runs in the loss against the Atlanta Braves.
