ANALYSIS: Mike Wallace's current ADP sits at WR31, despite never having finished outside the top 30.

Using his 4.33 40-yard dash speed, Wallace quickly gained a reputation as an excellent deep ball threat, averaging 18.7 yards per catch over his first three seasons. He has enjoyed less success recently in a Miami offense led by Ryan Tannehill that doesn't go deep quite as often as do the Steelers, his original team.

Now with the Vikings, Wallace will be catching passes from Teddy Bridgewater, who, as a rookie, flashed some promise as a deep-ball passer. Bridgewater’s 46.3% accuracy on deep passes was 10th best in the league.

Wallace has had his issues with dropping passes, especially in 2013 when he had a 53.3% catch rate and 11 drops in his first season with the Dolphins. In 2014, his catch percentage rose to 62.0% with just four drops, while his touchdown total jumped to 10. He finished the year firmly in WR2 territory despite the lack of deep ball success.

Paired with Bridgewater and offensive coordinator Norv Turner, it’s possible Wallace keeps his 2014 catch percentage while also seeing a considerable improvement in deep ball targets. This possibility makes Wallace a great value outside the top 30 receivers. a really good value.
