Chase Utley will be activated from the DL on Friday, according to the Philadelphia Phillies Twitter account.
Utley, 36, hasn’t played since June 22nd because of an ankle injury. During his rehab stint, the second baseman went 6-for-11 with a double and two walks over three minor league games between Double-A and Triple-A.
Tomorrow Chase Utley will be reinstated from the 15-day DL and LHP Adam Loewen will have his contract selected from @IronPigs.

Before the injury, Utley posted a .179/.257/.275, but his return could be a showcase for another team to acquire him through a waiver trade.
Throughout his 13-year career, the lefty has made six All-Star appearances and has averaged a .281 BA with 24 HR and 96 RBI. Last year, Utley made the National League All-Star team but this year has by far been his worst. A new home could be what Utley needs as his career is starting to wind down.
Utley will most likely to be a free agent after the season; his $15 million option will be activated only if if he records 500 plate appearances. He has 249 with 53 games remaining.
