The Milwaukee Brewers placed Kyle Lohse on the revocable trade waiver, according to MLBdailydish.com.
If Lohse goes through waivers unclaimed, the starting pitcher could be traded to any team in MLB. The Kansas City Royals are potential favorites to land Lohse as they try to make another run at the World Series.
After this season, Lohse will be an unrestricted free agent. The veteran pitcher would add depth wherever he goes. The Royals could use another arm whether it’s in the starting rotation or in the bullpen, which is where Lohse appeared during his last game with the Brewers.
In 2015, the right-hander is 5-13 with a 6.21 ERA in what is his worst full season of his 15-year career. A new team could be what Lohse needs to show why he’s been in the league for so long.
In his last four seasons, Lohse had an ERA of 3.39, 2.86, 3.35 and 3.54 respectively before this current season. He’s never been the best pitcher in a starting rotation but he’s been a solid four or five pitcher throughout his career.
