Five Outfield Waiver Wire Pickups & Adds for Week 24

With the advent of football season, many fantasy owners' attentions will be divided. Fortunately for those of you with your eyes still fixed on the prize we've lusted after since April, RotoBaller continues to bring you the same waiver wire analysis that has helped position you for a championship. Whether you need to replace an underperforming big name or are looking for an injury replacement, we've got you covered.

Without further ado, here are your waiver wire outfield adds for this week.

Editor’s Note: to read about even more waiver wire options for outfielders, be sure to check out our famous waiver wire pickups list which is a running list that is updated daily.

Outfield Pickups

Carlos Beltran (NYY) - 43 percent owned

It feels like a lot of owners wrote off Beltran after his awful April. They shouldn't have, as he's posted an OPS above .800 every month since, and a .913 mark since the break. This isn't the first time we've talked about the Yankees vet in this space, but Beltran has remained underappreciated all year. Even a blistering August - .353/.431/.635 with five homers and 31 R+RBI - hasn't been enough to get his ownership rate up above the 50% threshold.

Khris Davis (MIL) - 37 percent

He doesn't quite have the titanic power of the other Chris Davis, but the Brewers' outfielder is no slouch. Injuries have limited him to 322 at-bats this year, but the next time he goes deep will give him his second straight 20 homer season. 10 of those came in August, as Davis posted a .576 SLG despite hitting just .228. Khrush's propensity for whiffs means he'll always be a batting average liability, but his pop makes him an intriguing waiver option down the stretch.

Eduardo Escobar (MIN) - 32 percent

Escobar has been one of the most popular adds in fantasy of late, and with good reason - he is absolutely raking right now. Over the past month, Escobar has hit six homers, totalled 36 R+RBI and slashed an eye-popping .330/.374/.637. He's also eligible at second, third, and shortstop. The Twins' Swiss Army knife doubtlessly has buoyed the championship hopes of many fantasy teams in recent weeks, and is still free for the taking in over two-thirds of leagues.

Ender Inciarte (ARI) - 27 percent

Back to getting regular at-bats in the Diamondbacks lineup, Inciarte has resumed being a solid mult-cat fantasy contributor. He's hitting a tidy .306/.378/.396 over the last month, with 29 R+RBI and half a dozen stolen bases. Arizona's playing out the string at this point, so chances are good that Inciarte will get the green light more often.  He's already attempted six swipes in September, four of which were successful.

Kevin Kiermaier (TB) - 9 percent

The Rays center fielder is known more for his fantastic fielding than his prowess at the plate. However, he's quietly been one of the best fantasy outfielders over the last month, batting .333 with an excellent .872 OPS, three homers and four stolen bases. Kiermaier struggled mightily in April and June, which has left his overall numbers looking rather pedestrian. However, he's posted an OPS above .850 over the other three and a half months of the year, so there's obviously some talent to work with here. With an ownership rate in the single digits, odds are he's available to stream in your league.
