MLB DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – DraftKings Advice for 9/26/15

With only a couple of weeks left in the regular season, every match-up counts more than ever as October looms. Saturday boasts a full slate of games and a slew of great match-ups as the Cubs take on the Pirates while the Rangers and Astros clash in Houston and the Twins and Angels fight for their playoff lives. In the midst of that drama we’ll also see plenty of great pitching today with Chris Archer and David Price set to face each off in Toronto, Stephen Strasburg toeing the rubber in Washington, and Felix Hernandez taking the field out in Los Angeles.

For those of you with DFS in mind, here are a handful of pitchers, infielders, and outfielders to target for DraftKings today.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should check out our Partner FanDuel - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's just $5 to enter and pays out $8,000 in cash prizes, including $800 to 1st place!

Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking:

Washington Nationals (vs PHI)

With several offenses facing ace pitchers today, the Nationals become a great option to stack against a young righty in Aaron Nola. While the Phillies pitcher has shown flashes of brilliance in his last several starts, he has also been hammered for six ER twice thus far in September. That could very well happen again today.

Los Angeles Dodgers (at COL)

The Dodgers actually fall in the bottom half of teams when it comes to run production in 2015, but the cool air of Coors field can change that. LA has a .307 AVG in Colorado this year and has notched 11 HR with 39 RBI in only six games at the Rockies. With a host of great bats in the heart of that lineup, the Dodgers may be an excellent option to stack on Saturday.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Felix Hernandez (SP, SEA) - $11,100

If you’re going for a star pitcher today, look no further than King Felix. The Mariner ace has faced Angel batters a whopping 485 times over his career—an insane sample size—and has held the team to a .208 AVG across those AB with only 12 HR and 54 RBI. He’s struck out well over a fourth of those he’s faced.

David Price (SP, TOR) - $12,100

Yes, Price and Hernandez hardly make for value picks. In fact, they are the two most expensive pitchers on DraftKings today, but they have such great match-ups that today may be the day to spend big on at least one of them—or both. Price has seen Rays batters 95 times in his career and has struck out 30 of them while holding the team to a ridiculous .158 AVG with only a single HR and five RBI. Couple that with being at home and having the best offense in baseball behind him and Price becomes difficult to pass on regardless of his price (no pun intended).

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Kurt Suzuki (C, MIN) - $2,600

Tigers starter Alfredo Simon can be lit up at times, and Suzuki may be on the verge of figuring that out. In a small sample size against Simon—only 13 AB—the Twins catcher has hit .462 with a pair of HR and six RBI. Suzuki is far from a sure thing, but could have some sleeper potential today.

Elvis Andrus (SS, TEX) - $3,700

Having a somewhat disappointing season, Andrus can’t be looked at for power but has notched 25 TB over the last couple of weeks with eight RBI and four SB in that span. For his value, he makes enough contact to have a solid floor with a ceiling much, much higher.

Danny Valencia (3B, OAK) - $4,400

The young 3B is having himself a solid season despite seeing suspect playing time, and could be a great pick today as Oakland squares off with San Francisco. Valencia has a .304 AVG over his last 15 games with eight RBI and a few HR as well, suggesting there is still plenty of pop in his bat.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Andre Ethier (OF, LAD) - $3,300

Ethier has faced Kyle Kendrics 33 times in his career and has managed to take him long in a few of them while swinging .273 with eight RBI. Playing in Coors Fields doesn’t hurt, either, as Ethier has more career HR and RBI per game in Colorado than any other stadium in baseball.

Marcell Ozuna (OF, MIA) - $2,900

A .375 career AVG against Julio Teheran suggests sleeper potential for Ozuna, who has somewhat picked it up as of late with a couple of multi-hit games in his last five outings. The fact that he’s only gone long once in the last few weeks makes him a sleeper of the deeper variety, though, but not a bad one to take a shot at if you’re looking to spend money elsewhere.

Starling Marte (OF, PIT) - $4,700

On the opposite end of the spectrum from Ozuna rests Marte, who may very well be the hottest outfield hitter in baseball right now. Friday ended a stretch of four straight multi-hit games for the Pirate OF, but Marte is still hitting .469 with a pair of HR and nine RBI over the last week. If he can drop another four-hit game like he has twice since last weekend, he could be well worth the money.
