In his first season in Buffalo, Clay looks like he’s been there for all five years of his career. This past week in Miami, Clay juked his way past three of his former teammates for a 25 yard score en route to five receptions for 82 yards. This was Clay’s best game of the season, but his first two games were really solid as well. In Week 1 he caught four balls for 43 yards and in week 2 he had 3 receptions for 19 yards with a touchdown. Most significantly, Clay has played 92.9 percent of offensive snaps so far this season and his 16 targets are second to Percy Harvin’s 18 on the Bills.
LeSean McCoy will not be playing in the Bills' week 4 matchup vs. the Giants and that should give Clay more looks in the passing game. The Giants have given up 14 fantasy points per game to tight ends this season, fourth worst in the league. Last Thursday night, the Giants got shredded by Washington tight end Jordan Reed.
The following week Clay gets another favorable matchup against the Titans who have given up 11 fantasy points per game to tight ends, seventh worst in the league. Tyrod Taylor has looked better and better every week and seems competent targeting and hitting Clay as his go-to underneath and check down receiver. All of this makes Clay a really solid TE option for at least the next two weeks in all fantasy leagues.
