Yoenis Cespedes exited Wednesday’s game for the New York Mets after being drilled by a pitch to his left hand.
Wilmer Flores also exited the game against the Philadelphia Phillies with an undisclosed injury.
Cespedes was immediately in pain after he was hit by the pitch from Justin De Fratus. The Mets outfielder was holding his hand his wrist while team doctors took a look at him. Cespedes was removed from the game.

If the injury is serious, it would obvious;y be a major blow to the Mets roster for the upcoming postseason. Cespedes has been one of the best players in MLB since he was traded to New York. He has a .291 BA with 35 HR and 105 RBI this season. Meanwhile, Flores was replaced by Ruben Tejada as a pinch-runner in the fourth inning. He had a hit in the game, which made it odd that he was leaving early.
Now Wilmer Flores is out of this game. No word on whether it's an injury, but an oddly-timed substitution if it's not... #Mets
