Marshawn Lynch Officially Out For MNF Versus Lions

ESPN NFL reporter Field Yates has reported that Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is officially out for the Seahawks' Monday night tilt against the Detroit Lions. Rookie Thomas Rawls will receive a majority of the carries, and will likely be spelled by Fred Jackson on passing downs.

Lynch has been dealing with a hamstring injury that proved too troublesome to finish the game in Week 3, as he exited in the first half after just five carries. It has been reported that Lynch actually sustained some damage to his hamstring, with rumors of a tear floating around the fantasy community. However, as nothing has been medically confirmed, it is too early to speculate on Lynch's long-term health.

Rawls instantly becomes a playable RB2 in the Seahawks potent ground attack after posting 104 yards on 16 carries in the Seahawks' Week 3 shutout of the Bears. Fred Jackson gains some intrigue as a flex play, but considering that this is the Monday night game it is likely too late to plug him into most lineups.
