When the New England Patriot’s Week 6 win over the Indianapolis Colts was all said and done, there was little doubt that LeGarrette Blount had showed up to play. In the Patriots’ 34-27 victory, Blount managed to rush for 93 yards on 16 carries, punching in a pair of touchdowns in the process.
Even sweeter for Blount, he was able to nab the first receiving touchdown of his six-year career. Most impressive from Blount’s performance, however, was his ability to powerfully run between-the-tackles against the Colts defensive line. Because of this, at one point, Blount was able to break off a 38-yard rushing touchdown.
Though totaling fewer snaps than Dion Lewis, Blount’s stellar play had him closing out the game in the fourth quarter along with the rest of the Patriots’ offensive starters. Come Week 7, Blount will undoubtedly be a gameflow-dependent RB2 option for fantasy owners.
