Generally speaking, New England Patriots’ wide receiver Rob Gronkowski is a force to be reckoned with out on the field. In Sunday night’s Week 6 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, however, he was relatively tame.
Still, Gronkowski managed to score a touchdown to help his team seek revenge against the accusatory Colts, thus putting a metaphoric end to the Deflategate debacle. While solid numbers for just about any other tight end in the league, Gronkowski is used to going for much more.
In fact, he was held without a single catch in the first half, and 35 yards of his 50-yard performance came on the opening drive of the fixture’s third quarter. Granted, the drive ended with Gronkowski bringing in yet another touchdown. But, undoubtedly, fantasy owners were disappointed in what they saw from their top-tier tight end.
Needless to say, Gronkowski is still, without a doubt, one of the top fantasy players in the league. Seeing as how the New York Jets are historically known for giving the Patriots a competitive game, expect big things from Gronkowski come next week.
