Sitting Peyton Manning in fantasy is like benching your own son during a Little League game. It shouldn't happen. But it may be time to do the unthinkable. After Denver's Bye this upcoming week, if fantasy owners have a favorable matchup with their backup quarterback, they should start their backup, and show Peyton a place he is very unfamiliar with; the bench.
Yesterday against the Cleveland Browns, Peyton threw three interceptions, including one in overtime, bumping up his season total to ten. Heading into Week 6, the Browns' defense had only one interception on the year. The five-time NFL MVP has thrown at least one pick in each of Denver's first six games of the young 2015 campaign. He has thrown only seven touchdown passes on the year.
Look for the Broncos to continue to rely heavily on the run during their next game Week 8, even against a tough Green Bay Packers defense. With C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman splitting playing time (whom combined for 152 yards on 33 carries,) expect Peyton's pass attempts to decrease, along with his fantasy value.
