BALLER MOVE: Add in all leagues (Until Kyrie Irving comes back)
OWNED: 60% of Yahoo! Leagues
ANALYSIS: Mo Williams is a little higher owned than I usually include in these articles, but he should be 100% owned until Kyrie Irving comes back.
Let’s get the obvious out of the way. LeBron likes and trusts Mo Williams, which should be the first thing you ask yourself when deciding whether or not to add a player on the Cavaliers. Secondly, until Kyrie Irving comes back, Mo Williams is the unquestioned starting PG and should see at least 30 minutes a game. It may be a little less on back to backs to make sure he’s healthy the whole season, but he is an experienced PG who will always contribute in assists, threes, and has the ability to put up points in bunches.
It is nearly impossible to find consistent assists on the waiver wire throughout the season, so even if it’s just for a few months it’s well worth the add.
Bottom Line: This is a short write up for a reason, Mo Williams is a no-brainer add. Unless your team is stacked or you’re in an eight team league, I won’t believe you if you tell me everyone on your team is better than Mo Williams. Again, this is just until Kyrie Irving comes back, but until then, you have the starting PG for one of the best offenses in the NBA playing alongside the best player in the world. Doesn’t get much easier than that.
