BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues
OWNED IN: 24% of Yahoo! Leagues
ANALYSIS: Zach LaVine's raw athleticism is undeniable, but whether or not his skills are NBA-ready is still up for debate. As a rookie, the lanky combo guard scored 10.1 points per game on 42% shooting. Now in his second year, LaVine is on a very similar path, averaging 10.6 points per game, once again on 42%. However, his three point percentage has dropped from 34% to 27%. If he can work on his range, his overall numbers are bound to increase.
With Ricky Rubio hurt, LaVine will get the opportunity to start and showcase his skills. In general, increased playing time should allow the young guard to find his rhythm on the court. Rising stars Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns are already displaying dominance, so LaVine should have a ton of assist opportunities as well as openings to score. LaVine is worth an add in most leagues in case he is able to tap into his potential in his first true test. Don't be surprised if he explodes for 15 and 8 on a nightly basis.
