BALLER MOVE: Stash in deep 12-14 team leagues
OWNED IN: 33% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: Ted Ginn was limited in practice on Monday but practiced in full on Tuesday according to CBS Sports. That's good news for fantasy owners of Ginn and those looking to pick him up off the wire. It should definitely be surprising that he is owned so little, considering he is the Carolina Panthers' No. 1 wide receiver, even if it's by default. Granted tight end Greg Olsen leads the team with 48 receptions and 718 receiving yards, Ginn has still been targeted 66 times, significantly more than any other Panthers receiver.
Understandably, Ginn's fantasy numbers have been less than stellar. He is touchdown-dependent and relatively non-existent in standard scoring formats. He has yet to breach the 100-yard receiving mark and has an average four touchdowns on the season, two coming in one game. But the upside to Ginn is the increase in his targets of late; 16 in his last two games, 38 over the past five. If these numbers remain steady, Ginn can be a solid receiver to store away.
Quarterback Cam Newton is having an MVP-worthy campaign, but has relied heavily on Olsen and running back Jonathan Stewart. Ginn definitely gets his looks but is untrustworthy as a weekly starter. Pick him up and stash him, especially in PPR formats. Monitor Ginn's targets on Thanksgiving and what he does with them.
