ANALYSIS: Ish Smith has found yet another new home. He is returning to the Philadelphia 76ers after an up-and-down start to the season with the New Orleans Pelicans. In late November, the 27-year-old point guard had a stretch of seven consecutive games with double-digit points scored, but did so just once in 10 games in December after Pelicans guards Tyreke Evans and Jrue Holiday returned from injuries. His minutes dropped to just over 10 per game over that span. Smith now returns to a 1-30 Sixers club that has struggled to find consistent production from the point guard position this year. With Tony Wroten gone, Smith is expected to split time with Kendall Marshall and T.J. McConnell, both of whom are considered play-making guards. Smith should have plenty of opportunities to find the basket. In his 25-game stint with the Sixers last year, Smith enjoyed the best numbers of his career-- 12 points and six assists per game. He is unlikely to improve his inefficiency, but in points leagues, Smith can be a solid pickup.
