Say what you want about Alex Rodriguez and his villainous presence in the MLB. The dude hit 33 home runs in the same year that he turned 40, after, might I add, not playing baseball for an entire season. A-Rod has been tied to baseball for over two decades, and now despite forever being tied to something else, his resurgence brings together plenty of offseason questions. One being, can he produce similarly to his 33 dinger, 86 RBI 2015 campaign?
Heading into his 21st season, A-Rod won't have to pack his glove and can leave it behind heading to spring training. All he has to worry about is swinging a bat. A-Rod, a once necessary, sure-thing first round fantasy pick, has definitely dropped quite a bit in the rankings, but still tiptoes around being one of the top five DH/utility plays in fantasy, especially one that can be taken later in drafts. He also walks a lot, helping in the OBP/AVG categories.
A-Rod is 27 home runs shy of reaching Babe Ruth on the all-time home run list. You have to imagine that's on his mind. Crazier things have happened in a season, like hitting 33 round-trippers when you're 40 years old.
