BALLER MOVE: ~200
CURRENT ADP: 226
ANALYSIS: In his first year with the Padres, Derek Norris failed to put up an OPS+ of at least 110 (it stood at 99) for the first time since his rookie season in 2012. His career-high 515 at-bats may give the impression that he was overexposed, but it was actually his struggles against division rivals San Francisco and Arizona that hurt Norris the most.
With a floor of average, Norris has a chance to push himself into the top-10 picture for catchers come season's end. He ranks within the top 10 in runs (fifth, 111) and RBI (eighth, 117) over the past two seasons, and his career highs in doubles (33) and home runs (14) last year show that Norris has solid power, with the potential to push 20 HR, and could be have for nice value late in a mixed league.
