Welcome to the Daily Fantasy Hockey (NHL DFS) lineup picks article for March 10th of the 2015/2016 NHL season. Each day we'll be providing you with a handful of forward, defensemen, and goaltender picks for DraftKings and FanDuel GPP and cash games.

Tonight we have six on the NHL schedule with some favorable matchups for the home teams. Five of the six road teams come in ranked 17th or worse in goals against per game.

Looking at the goaltender position tonight the slate lacks elite talent leaving us with some decisions in the next tier for cash games. Both Tuukka Rask and Martin Jones are at home on Thursday but have been better on the road with reverse splits and will be tough to fade in their matchups.

At this point there are four goalies confirmed starting (Lehner-BUF, Condon-MON, Luongo-FLA, Kinkaid-NJ) so be sure to check LeftWingLock prior to lineup lock.

NHL DFS Picks for Thursday, March 10th

A couple strategy notes. For cash game construction look for players who can contribute to your score when they are not providing offense. Examples are guys who take a ton of shots, defensemen who block a lot of shots(DraftKings). Also, look for guys who get powerplay time and especially Top 6 forwards. You can find value in players who join a new line due to an injury or just get a promotion and more ice time.

For large field tournaments (GPP's) you want to find payers who have multi point upside and can grab double digit fantasy points. To stack the most upside in your forwards a common strategy is to punt the defense position. This doesn't mean just grab anyone. Try and look for a D man who will be playing more PP time or might get a boost in overall playing time due to an injury.

Let's take a look at some solid plays for today's action.

Tuukka Rask - Goaltender, Bruins (Draftkings - $8,600  FanDuel - $9,200)

He got a much needed night off on Tuesday as he had started the previous seven games for the Bruins. He should be well rested and ready for another big outing as the Hurricanes and their 25th ranked offense come to town. Rask has been terrific lately going 6-2-1 with a .933 save % over his last 10 games.

Patrice Bergeron - Center, Bruins (DraftKings - $7,300  FanDuel - $8,200)

The Bruins have won two straight and seven of their last 10 games and have climbed into a tie for 1st in the Atlantic Division. During the current 10 game stretch Bergeron has tallied 12 points(Two on the PP) and provided a very safe floor with 29 shots on goal. He gets a great matchup at home tonight vs. a Hurricanes team ranked 18th in goals allowed per game.

Max Pacioretty - Winger, Canadiens (DraftKings - $7,000  FanDuel - $7,300)

The Canadiens have shuffled there lines around a ton lately but Pacioretty has remained consistent. He is coming off back to back multi point games where he skated with Alex Galchenyuk and Sven Andrighetto. Expect that line combination to stick, at least while they remain hot.

Jonathan Huberdeau - Winger, Panthers (DraftKings - $5,400  FanDuel - $6,200)

He returned from injury on Monday and picked up two assists in an overtime loss to the Bruins. He jumped right back onto the top line with Jaromir Jagr and Aleksander Barkov and the trio appeared to not lose any chemistry. The Panthers have been a much better team on home ice this year and get a terrific matchup on Thursday vs. the Senators who rank 27th in goals allowed per game.

Brent Burns - Defense, Sharks (DraftKings - $8,200  FanDuel - $8,200)

On a night with little star power, it will be a great time to pay up for one or more defensemen. Burns has been red hot lately and will surely be heavily owned but if he goes off you don't want to miss out. He has points in five straight and 12 points in his last 10 games with 40 shots and a +10 rating.
