MLB DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 4/7/16

Trevor Story, Robbie Cano, and Carlos Correa are making this season exciting right out of the gate! But there have been some solid pitching performances mixed in too from newcomers and studs alike. Man I'm glad MLB is back.

Today's slate features nine games, but you may find yourself avoiding the first one at 12:35. It doesn't really fit in too well with the timing of the other games. Still, there is fantasy potential there, so I will at least mention it. This is also the first day without any true aces on the mound, so picking the right pitchers will be vital on Thursday.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/7/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Washington Nationals vs. Adam Conley (LHP)

Depending on which Conley we see today, this game could get ugly. I like the spot for Michael Taylor, Anthony Rendon, and Wilson Ramos today. It also makes sense to use Bryce Harper despite the southpaw on the mound. Still, Conley has shown some good stuff in the minors and in spring training. It wouldn't be the strangest thing in the world to watch him battle through six or seven innings.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. John Lackey (RHP)

The DBacks look like a potent offense early in the season. Jean Segura is playing out of his mind right now, and David Peralta is always in play against righties. Socrates Brito could be a nice punt option if he's batting second.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Danny Salazar, CLE vs. BOS - $9,700

I like Salazar despite his sub par matchup today. He's got great stuff and is by far the best pitcher on the board. If he can limit walks and fly balls (I'm looking at you, Carlos Carrasco), Salazar should have a good outing. I won't be going with Eovaldi, as the Houston offense looks too dominant right now. So, the Cleveland starter is my foundation for today.

Derek Holland, TEX at LAA - $8,600

I also kinda like Mat Latos as an off-the-handle tourney play at the second pitcher spot, but Derek Holland is the safer choice. The Angels have already shown their offensive weakness early in the season. If Holland can keep Trout from leaving the yard, he's in line for a solid pitching performance today. Remember, if this guy ever stops getting hurt, he has the potential to be an ace.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Brian McCann, NYY vs. HOU - $3,800

The short porch in right is looking pretty on Thursday. Mike Fiers lets up plenty of fly balls, so look for McCann to be among the Yanks that have another good night.

First Base (1B)

Justin Bour, MIA at WAS - $3,400

If you can successfully pay down at first base, it makes a great start to a tourney-winning lineup. Bour gets a righty in Tanner Roark, and he should have men on base in front of him. I like the big lefty in this spot.

Second Base (2B)

Rougned Odor, TEX at LAA - $3,800

We all saw the potential that Odor contains last season, the question is when will he unleash it this year? He gets a LHP in Hector Santiago on Thursday, so maybe this is the day he breaks out for a two-homer game. At this price, I'll be happy with a couple of base knocks.

Shortstop (SS)

Jean Segura, ARI vs. CHC - $3,800

You can't go wrong with Corey Seager at this spot, but Segura is showing so many positive signs early in the season. Less than 4K for the leadoff man in a dynamite offense? Yes, please.

Third Base (3B)

Manny Machado, BAL vs. MIN - $4,900

Here's where you pay up. Phil Hughes has had homer trouble in the past, and his fly ball tendencies look great for the righty-mashing Machado in his own hitter's park. Lock this stud in at third base and build your team around him.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Kyle Schwarber, CHC at ARZ - $4,500

Here's a great tourney play if he finds his way into the lineup. Schwarber's ownership will be down due to his high price and recent lack of production. This could be the day that he goes yard against Rubby De La Rosa. If you have money to spend, I like Schwarber's upside on Thursday.

Michael Taylor, WAS vs. MIA - $3,600

The starting center fielder and leadoff man for the Nationals gets a lefty today. He can give you extra base hits along with a stolen base or two, and there's plenty of fire power to drive him in once he's on base. I like Taylor as a safe cash game play today with or without the Nationals stack.
