Daily Fantasy Golf DraftKings Picks (PGA DFS): RBC Heritage

Jordan Spieth looked like he would run away with The Masters and defend his title after 63 holes. But a quadruple bogey on the Par-3 12th, did him in. Let's not say Spieth choked, because playing in front of that many people is unfathomable, but rather collapsed. Danny Willett played tremendous golf Sunday to win the Masters and he was one of my picks in my column last week. Not one of my nine picks missed the cut. I was dead on with Phil Mickelson as I wrote, Mickelson "has looked great recently, but him missing short putts and a little bit of short game struggles, have me worried." Lefty was playing well through the first 27 holes, but then started crushing his short putts and blew up, missing the cut.

My sleeper of the tournament was Smylie Kaufman who ended up playing in the final pairing Sunday before shooting a final round 81. Sunday at Augusta clearly got to him. Additionally, my pick to win, Jason Day, was playing great golf after the first nine holes, but blewup on the back nine Thursday and never recovered, finishing 10th, 1- over.

The RBC Heritage will be held in Hilton Head, SC, at Harbour Town Golf Links. The course is a par 71, 7,101 yards. Per pgatour.com, "Widely considered a benchmark in modern design, the Pete Dye/Jack Nicklaus venture remains a timeless test despite its status as one of the shortest layouts on the PGA TOUR schedule. Narrow fairways and small, deftly contoured greens combine to offer a strategic challenge, requiring well-positioned shots to generate birdie chances. Poor drives will force players to work their way around and over hundreds of live oaks and pines. Harbour Town’s iconic red-and-white lighthouse behind the 18th green still helps vessels navigate Calibogue Sound." Last year Jim Furyk defeated Kevin Kisner in a playoff.

The weather will be windy and rainy on Thursday and Friday. Also, from TheFantasyGolf, players who performed well at Sony Open in Hawaii, OHL Mayakoba, and RSM Classic, play well at this tournament.

PGA Stats To Look At for Daily Fantasy Golf (DFS)

Scrambling: Last year Furyk led the field in scrambling and won the tournament. In 2014, Matt Kuchar won the tournament finishing 11th in scrambling. Furyk led in scrambling in 2014, too, finishing tied for 7th.

Driving Accuracy: Both Kuchar and Furyk finished 7th in this category when winning the tournament.

Strokes Gained: Putting: Kuchar was 12th in 2014, and the weekly leader, William McGirt, finished tied for 9th at the tournament. Last year, Furyk was 11th in this category, and weekly leader Cameron Smith, finished T15.

Fantasy Golf Lineup Picks for DraftKings (PGA DFS)

Brandt Snedeker ($10,600)

Scrambling: 15

Driving Accuracy: 120

Strokes Gained: Putting: 27

2015 Finish: T26, 7-under

Sneds had himself a great Masters, finishing T10, 1- over. At the Sony Open in January, a similar course, Snedeker finished second.

Matthew Fitzpatrick ($9,500)

Scrambling: 143

Driving Accuracy: T10

Strokes Gained: Putting: 32

2015 Finish: DNP

He will be an extremely popular play this week after finishing seventh, even- par at the Masters. He is 21-years-old and hasn't missed a cut since the Honda Classic at the end of February.

Russell Knox ($8,200)

Scrambling: 31

Driving Accuracy: 22

Strokes Gained: Putting: T158

2015 Finish: T18, 8- under

Although Knox just missed the cut at the Masters, expect a bounce-back week at Hilton Head. He finished runner-up at the OHL Classic and as long as he putts effectively in this tournament, he should play well.

Tony Finau ($7,700)

Scrambling: 78

Driving Accuracy: 198

Strokes Gained: Putting: 143

2015 Finish: Cut

This is a gut feeling for me. He won the Puerto Rico Open three weeks ago, and was cut at the Houston Open. I have a feeling he will finish top-10.

Sean O'Hair ($7,200)

Scrambling: 8

Driving Accuracy: 88

Strokes Gained: Putting: 25

2015 Finish: 6th, 13- under

He finished T18 at the RSM Classic and T42 at the Sony Open. In his last outing he placed 10th at the Houston Open. O'Hair played great here last year and should not have a problem with this course.

Colt Knost ($7,000)

Scrambling: 13

Driving Accuracy: 2

Strokes Gained: Putting: 31

2015 Finish: DNP

He has yet to have a top-10 finish this year, but things could change this week. His stats lineup almost perfectly for this tournament.

Jerry Kelly ($6,800)

Scrambling: 2

Driving Accuracy: 4

Strokes Gained: Putting: 146

2015 Finish: T18, 8- under

He finished T9 at the Sony Open. I hope his putting doesn't come back to haunt him throughout this tournament.

Brendon Todd ($6,300)

Scrambling: 20

Driving Accuracy: 55

Strokes Gained: Putting: 13

2015 Finish: 4th, 15- under

Todd has not made a cut since the Phoenix Open and has been having a miserable year. Luckily for him he returns to a course where he played well on last year. He is my sleeper for the tournament.
