BALLER MOVE: Pick up in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 50% of Fleaflicker leagues
ANALYSIS: For those of you with Zimmerman already on your roster, what to do, what to do? Zimmerman is off to a slow start in regards to production, but for someone who has hit 20+ home runs six times in a career, it's only a matter of time before he starts going deep and driving in runs. The only appeal of starting Zimmerman so far has been his average as he has failed to pick up a hit in only one game this season. Also, his BABIP is .353. In leagues consisting of 10-12 teams, Zimmerman is more of a situational/utility guy, plugged in when needed, especially if you already own a better first baseman. He has faired well facing lefties in his career, posting a .330 batting average against south paws last season. In deeper leagues of more than 12 teams, you can definitely do a lot worse than Zimmerman as an everyday player. But, keep in mind that Zimmerman hasn't played a full season since 2013. So far, so good.
