BALLER MOVE: Pick up in 12+ team leagues
OWNED IN: 41% of Fleaflicker leagues
ANALYSIS: Not many catchers have the speed that J.T. Realmuto has. He has swiped only one bag thus far in the young 2016 campaign, but once the running catcher starts getting on base more frequently we can expect his stolen base total to jump. Realmuto has struggled early on, batting only .235 with two RBIs, but it's necessary to remain patient with him.
Realmuto's slow start can be attributed to the fact that he's been pulling the ball 41.1% of the time, while 75.9% of the contact he's made this season has stayed on the ground. With the outfield walls now in at Marlins Park, he'll need to start putting the ball in the air to mimic his power and ability to tally extra base hits from last season; something we can also expect as Realmuto is still adjusting to life as a full-time catcher. His already low career strikeout percentage has dropped slightly, having struck out only five times in 34 at-bats. He's a solid pickup with a ton of upside and versatility that the majority of catchers do not possess.
