ANALYSIS: Javier Baez is going to be used as a super-utility man for the Cubs. He'll see time at second base, shortstop and third base depending on who needs a day off. While this won't equate to everyday playing time for the young infielder, he should be out there more often than not, and that multi-position eligibility makes him a useful asset for fantasy purposes. In Roto leagues especially, his raw power and place in the potent Cubs lineup should yield the counting stats you need to justify rostering him. The strikeouts likely won't go away and his batting average won't impress, but Baez is worth an early-season add given his potential.
