ANALYSIS: Logan Forsythe was barely hitting over .220 a couple of seasons ago. Now he continues to flirt with the magical .300. After a breakout season in 2015 with the Tampa Bay Rays, where he batted .281 with 17 home runs and 68 RBI, Forsythe is continuing his productive play out of the leadoff spot. He's gone yard three times, driven in nine runs, and has been teetering around .300 all month long.
His BABIP is over .60 points higher than his career average; a number I expect to drop, but not by much based on his continuous improvements at the plate. Forsythe has also been spraying the ball to all parts of the field (32% to left, 38% to center, 30% to right), and is a multiple-category threat for fantasy. He's stolen two bases so far this season and is certainly on pace to surpass his total of nine from last season. Forsythe's versatility makes him a no-brainer pickup for those in need of infield depth and utility production.
