Analysis: Even though Jason Castro has a poor BA at .195 and a mediocre SLG of .364, his OBP of .333 which has been spurred on by his fantastic 17.2% walk percentage, is very encouraging. His totals for the season look drab, but Castro has turned up the heat in the last two weeks. In the last 14 days, Castro has had 33 AB, two HR, a .303 BA, and a 1.015 OPS (.439 OBP, .576 SLG). Castro's numbers are also skewed by drastically different splits. For instance against LHP Castro has zero HR and a slash line of .050/.208/.050 in 20 AB, while he has punished RHP to the tune of two HR and a slash of .246/.377/.474 in 57 AB. Also, Castro has a terrible slash line of .118/.250/.147 on the road, but is on fire when playing in Houston by boasting a slash of .256/.396/.535. Castro has some very clear advantageous situations (at home, vs. RHP) and has been heating up considerably over the last two weeks from his ice cold start. He is well worth heavy consideration from Fantasy Baseball Managers.
