Baller Move: Add in 12+ team leagues
Owned in: 7% of Fleaflicker leagues
Analysis: For a guy who had a slash line of .212/.286/.343 all of last year, it is a bit of a shock that Chase Utley has been able to turn his work at the plate around especially while sporting the George Clooney peppery hair look. This season for the Dodgers Utley has a slash of .281/.383/.430 and has encouraging peripherals to accompany. While he may be hitting for slightly less power from a percentage stand point, that hardly matters when considering he has lowered his strikeout percentage from 20.6% to 15% and has increased his walk percentage from 7.1% to 11.3% from his miserable 2015. Utley has also started hitting for 31% line drives while putting the ball in play more often at 69%, making his BABIP of .326 and therefore his BA look very sustainable. At the fresh age of 37, it looks like Chase Utley is once again valuable for his consistent hitting, and could be a big add for Managers in 93% of leagues.
