Analysis: When a player is eligible at four positions, it automatically warrants attention, just for the mere practicality; but when Jose Ramirez starts his first 165 AB of the season off with a .315/.384/.461 slash line with five stolen bases, it warrants razor sharp focus. Despite this being his fourth season in the majors, Ramirez is just 23-years-old, and he has made some major improvements. He is striking out just 9.1% of the time and is taking walks at the same rate, he is hitting 33% of balls for line drives, and he has improved his isolated power to a .145 clip. His BABIP may be .336, but with his high line drive rate and speed on the base paths, that figure is more than sustainable.
With Ramirez striking out less than a tenth of his plate appearances and getting so many at-bats due to his defensive versatility, he has slowly but surely created a huge blinking dot on fantasy baseball manager radars.
