Welcome back to our Fourth of July edition of FanDuel picks! Everyone have a great time and be safe as we celebrate America and its favorite pastime. In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 7/4/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel. It's a full slate with things kicking off at 11:35 ET.
As for Vegas insights, the only heavy moneyline favorites tonight are the Cubs (-265), Nationals (-24o), Cardinals (-180), and Blue Jays (-175). The contests with the highest over/unders are the Rangers-Red Sox (10.5), Padres-Diamondbacks (9.5) and Athletics-Twins (9.5).

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel
Cardinals versus Jonathan Niese
Niese sure would like to scrap June off the books. He had a 6.21 ERA in six starts with hitters posting a .314 average. Things won't get easier today with a trip to Busch Stadium on tap, with the Cardinals deploying numerous batters (Matt Holliday, Stephen Piscotty, Almedys Diaz, Matt Carpenter) who excel versus left-handed pitching (and have success versus Niese). The Cardinals offense is heating up again and things should keep rolling today.
Mets versus Tom Koehler
Don't look now but the Mets are heating up. They swept the Cubs this weekend and posting 28 runs in the three games. Koehler has struggled of late, notably on the road. Multiple Mets have success off Koehler (Curtis Granderson, Asdrubal Cabrera, Yoenis Cespedes) and things should continue today.
Also Consider: Red Sox versus Nick Martinez
DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel
Max Scherzer (SP, WAS) - $12,000
I know, I know. Going out on a limb here. But the lack of safe plays (only other pitcher above $10K is Danny Salazar) makes fitting Mad Max into your lineup a worthy venture. Scherzer was marvelous in June, posting a 1.96 ERA and 58/7 K/BB ratio in six starts. He's a must in 50/50 formats.
Matt Moore (SP, TB) - $7,800
Health has always been the key with Moore, who's reportedly is feeling his best in a long time. He's been much better at Tropicana Field (3.67 ERA) and in day games (2.93 ERA). It's a tourney play.
Tyler Anderson (SP, COL) - $6,200
Anderson has been excellent in four starts (2.66 ERA, 28/5 K/BB). Now if only he can get some run support (zero runs in three of four starts). The Giants are banged up and struggle versus LHP, so I'll give Anderson a whirl in his quest for an MLB win.
DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel
Catcher (C)
Willson Contreras (C, CHC) - $2,900
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here. Every week I promote him and his price goes down? He hit a home run yesterday and has forced his way into the lineup. It's a good matchup versus Cody Reed.
First Base (1B)
Freddie Freeman (1B, ATL) - $3,600
Freeman has been on fire, slashing .346/.426/.654 in June. He's 4-for-8 lifetime versus Jered Eickhoff and should continue his hot streak today.
Also Consider: Mark Teixeira (1B, NYY) - $3,100
Second Base (2B)
Derek Dietrich (2B, MIA) - $2,500
If there's been one positive from Dee Gordon's suspension it's the emergence of Dietrich. He has a .894 OPS versus RHP and makes for an excellent punt at 2B.
Shortstop (SS)
Didi Gregorius (SS, NYY) - $3,100
How is Didi so cheap? He has a home run in three of his past five games and has averaged over 17 FanDuel points in that span.
Third Base (3B)
Travis Shaw (3B, BOS) - $2,700
Shaw had a rough June but we do know he likes hitting at Fenway (.906 OPS) and against RHP (.843 OPS). He's capable of a big fly which is exactly what we're seeking at this price point.
DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel
Jacoby Ellsbury (OF, NYY) - $3,500
Don't look now but the Yankees are heating up, notably Ellsbury. He has a steal in four of his past seven games and at least 12 FanDuel points in three straight. He has 2 HR in his career versus James Shields.
Mark Trumbo (OF, BAL) - $3,400
People continue to doubt Trumbo and he continues to mash. His 24 HR lead baseball and he has a .554 slugging versus left-handers.
Brock Holt (OF, BOS) - $2,600
Holt has been a welcome sighting in the Red Sox offense, posting 21 and 15 points in consecutive games. He'll be in my lineups once again until FanDuel prices him accordingly.
Also Consider: Nelson Cruz (OF, SEA) - $3,300 and Michael Saunders (OF, TOR) - $2,600
