BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 51% Fleaflicker
ANALYSIS: Koji Uehara is in the midst of his worst statistical season of his career. The 41-year-old owns a 4.81 ERA and 1.10 WHIP with 48 strikeouts in 33.2 innings on the year. However, with Craig Kimbrel sidelined for 3-6 weeks, Uehara is being pushed back into a familiar role. The Red Sox did acquire Brad Ziegler over the weekend, but John Farrell has deemed Uehara the closer for now. He has 76 saves since the beginning of the 2013 season, so the experience is there, and while he has struggled at times this year, seven of his 18 earned runs have come in one full inning over two appearances. Kimbrel will certainly resume ninth-inning duties upon his return, but Uehara — now a closer for a 49-win team — is a must-add in all leagues.
