Analysis: Some prospect call-ups work out, some don't. David Dahl has worked out just fine since getting the big-league call from the Rockies. The 22-year old outfielder has been a top 100 prospect every year since 2013 and had a .314/.394/.569 slash line with 18 HR and 17 SB in 350 AB across the Double-A and Triple-A levels in 2016. Dahl has been called up for 16 games for the Rockies and has been unbelievable. He has a slash line of .365/.394/.619 and has hit three homers. He has yet to steal a base, but he has a lengthy track record of base stealing in the minors and has showcased his speed at the MLB level by hitting three triples already in just 63 AB. Dahl looks to have a pretty safe hold on playing time in the Colorado outfield, he has the home advantage of Coors field, and he has been off to a historic start in the majors. He looks to be a pretty safe bet moving forward.
