Analysis: At 25 years old, it seems like we have remembered and forgotten about Devon Travis enough times that he would already be a 15-year MLB veteran. Initial disclaimer on Travis: his RHP/LHP and Home/Away splits are a little one sided. He has poor OPS against LHP and at Home in Toronto at .610 and .666 while he is phenomenal against RHP and in Away games with OPS of .885 and .960. He has had just one bad month, and it was May, his first month of the season. He had a .490 OPS in a mere 24 AB. In the 242 AB through June, July, and August, he has been fantastic. In June he hit five HR with a .865 OPS, then two HR with a .765 OPS in July, and currently has hit three HR with a .884 OPS in August. With his nice mixture of contact hitting, power hitting, and the ability to throw a couple steals in the mix, Devon Travis is a worthy pickup especially against RHP and when playing on the road.
