DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (10/10/16): MLB DFS Advice

Today's slate shrunk late Sunday night when the Toronto Blue Jays swept the Texas Rangers. That means three games are on the docket for today. There are not a lot of targets to choose from, but some stand out from the others.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/10/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings. The following targets have been selected for all day contests on DraftKings.

Editor's Note: If you like DraftKings, be sure to also check out FantasyAces. New users that sign up on Fantasy Aces and make a $20 deposit will receive RotoBaller's full season NFL Premium Pass for free (including Premium DFS & MLB Premium), normally a $59.99 value. Expert DFS research, sample lineups, matchup ratings and lots more!

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Washington Nationals vs. Kenta Maeda (RHP)

Obviously, there are not many options for a stack today. If you read down, you'll see that Washington starter Gio Gonzalez is a good starting pitcher option. Along with that, the Nationals offense make a good stacking option. Washington has a very potent lineup, especially when facing a right-handed pitcher. Guys like Daniel Murphy and Bryce Harper always prove to be tough outs. Jayson Werth and Trea Turner are also players to target in a stack.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Gio Gonzalez, WAS at LAD - $7,300

Selecting a pitcher on the road in the playoffs isn't always the best strategy, but don't shy away from Gio Gonzalez today. Yes, he went 1-2 in his final four starts of the regular season, but the Nationals have a potent lineup that gives their starting pitcher a chance to win each time out. Gonzalez pitched once against the Dodgers in the regular season and was very impressive. The lefty picked up a win while allowing just one run on three hits in six innings.

Madison Bumgarner, SF vs. CHC- $12,300

The Giants enter Monday with their backs against the wall. Fortunately, that's nothing new for them. A matchup with the Cubs is certainly tough, but Madison Bumgarner is historically one of the best pitchers ever in the playoffs. He was masterful in his Wild Card Game start and will look to do the same at home today. His price is high, but don't be against Bumgarner in October.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Wilson Contreras, CHC vs. SF - $3,300

Contereas is one of the few Cubs that's had some moderate success when facing Madison Gilmore. In three at-bats he has two hits, including a double. He came on as an important piece of the offense for the Cubs near the end of the regular season. He hit .318 with two home runs in September and is currently hitting .500 in October.

First Base (1B)

Ryan Zimmerman, WAS at LAD - $3,200

Despite hitting a paltry .218 in the regular season, Zimmerman has come on in the postseason. He has a .429 average in two games and enters today with a .500 average in the last week. The veteran doesn't posses teh power he once did, but an average of six fantasy points for right around $3,000 is more than serviceable for your daily lineup.

Second Base (2B)

Daniel Murphy, WAS at LAD - $5,100

Murphy had a fantastic first season in our nation's capital, topping his career average of .296 by hitting .347 this year. He has four hits through the first two postseason games, including a three-hit performance Sunday. Murphy has a good matchup with a righty today, as he has a .354 average and 19 home runs against righties.

Shortstop (SS)

Xander Bogaerts, BOS vs. CLE - $3,800

Bogaerts had a fantastic regular season, but has just one hit to date in the postseason. However, he's got a great mix of both power and the ability to hit for average. he has been a very useful daily fantasy player, averaging nearly nine points a game on DraftKings. He's got two hits in six at-bats against opposing starter Josh Tomlin and shouldn't be overlooked today.

Third Base (3B)

Brock Holt, BOS vs. CLE - $3,300

Holt has dual eligibility on DraftKings at both third base and the outfield. He hit just .239 in the month of September, but has started to heat up in the postseason. He's 4-for-8 through two games against the Indians and has a home run and a double. He's had some moderate success against Josh Tomlin, going 2-for-6 in his lifetime. Holt has averaged nearly six fantasy points a game this year on DraftKings and makes for a sneaky play Monday.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Angel Pagan, SF vs. CHC - $3,700

Not many Giants hitters have had success against opposing starter Jake Arrieta, but Angel Pagan has. In 11 at-bats he has five hits, including a double. Pagan hit .277 in the regular season and is a very important part of the San Francisco. Though he doesn't have the same speed he once did, he can still be dangerous on the base paths. So far he's hitting .300 in the postseason.

Bryce Harper, WAS at LAD- $4,200

Harper's numbers were down this year, but if the Nationals are going to make a run this postseason he will be a key piece. He's still a great option for daily fantasy leagues and averages 8.6 points per game on DraftKings. Harper gets a favorable matchup with righty Kenta Maeda and should be counted on as a cornerstone of you daily lineup.

Coco Crisp, CHC vs. SF - $3,600

Crisp is worth taking a chance on today simply for the fact that he's got a .278 lifetime average with one home run against opposing starter Clay Buchholz. The rest of Crisp's teammates have had little success against the righty. Crisp, who can hit from either side of the plate, performed better against right-handers. Although his overall season average was just .231, he hit .236 with 10 homers from the left side. With limited options, use Crisp in tournament formats today.
