BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 41% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Schebler has already smacked eight home runs this season. His metrics indicate this jump in power is no accident as his flyball rate is up from 29% last season to 44% this season and his HR/FB% has jumped from 15.8% to 24.2%. His hard contact rate has actually fallen from last season, but encouragingly, his strikeout rate has not taken a major hike as a result of his changed plate approach.
There are a few concerns, as the left-handed Schebler sits against left-handed pitchers and he has batted predominantly sixth in the Reds’ lineup, but any hitter that has the potential to reach over 30 home runs and hit for a decent average is a fantasy asset.
