Welcome back for another week of daily fantasy NASCAR. This week the Monster Energy Cup series travels to Watkins Glen for the final road course race of the 2017 season. While both Sonoma and Watkins Glen are labeled road courses, they are different animals when it comes to the racing. Sonoma is more of a tight track that is very technical while Watkins Glen is more of a speedway road course that sees much higher speeds. It is going to be an exciting race as we are now five races from the Playoffs.
When it comes to daily fantasy strategy this week it will place differential at the top of the list. While starting position and track position overall is very important, there have still been 20 or more drivers who have gained PD points in each of the last six races. There have also been at least seven drivers to gain double-digit PD points in each of the last six races. Dominator points are few and far between as there are only 90 total laps in the race but we still should see two drivers with 20 or more laps led this week. Let's now take a look at the picks. Keep in mind that the qualifying will be Sunday morning before the start of the race so the picks could definitely change from now until then. Stay tuned to my Twitter for updates(@Jager_Bombs9).
Daily Fantasy NASCAR: DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks - I love New York 355 at the Glen
Kyle Busch ($10,300)
He leads all active drivers with two wins here at the Glen and has been elite on road courses over the last two years with a win and is the only driver to finish all five races inside the Top 10. He got the monkey off his back last week in Pocono with his first win of the season and first win at Pocono. He will be one of the two drivers to lead 20 or more laps and should have a great shot at back to back wins.
Joey Logano ($8,600)
The value has hit a season high as the salary has hit a season low for Logano. With an encumbered win(doesn't count for playoffs), Logano sits on the outside looking in with five races to go and comes back to a track he has been very successful at in the past. He won the race here in 2015, finished runner-up last year, and has finished Top 10 in four straight and five of his last six at the Glen.
Matt Kenseth ($7,900)
Kenseth isn't at a season low salary but close as he dropped $1,300 from last week and nearly a $1,000 below his season average. He is on the safe side of the playoff bubble at the moment but not by much and needs a good result this week. The good news is he returns to a track he has been successful at with a Top 5 and two Top 10's in the last two years here at the Glen. He is safe in all formats barring a front row qualifying position.
