BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Mixed Leagues, AL-Only Leagues

ANALYSIS: The Rockies called up Ryan McMahon, their No. 3 prospect, in advance of Friday’s game against the Marlins. While he hasn't drawn the start in either of his first two contests, Bud Black will be sure to find ways to stick him in the lineup sooner rather than later.
McMahon began the year on a hot streak with Double-A Hartford, and only picked up the pace following a promotion to Albuquerque. Across 248 at-bats in Triple-A, he managed 13 homers, 50 RBI and a massive .375/.409/.625 slash line. The 22-year-old infielder has an uppercut swing and natural raw power that, together, indicate 25-HR potential. He has proven capable of hitting at every level so far, and could very well continue that trend in the big leagues.
Despite its astounding team success, Colorado has had its fair share of disappointments this season — most notably Carlos Gonzalez and Trevor Story — so the club could use a bit of a spark. McMahon is blocked off at both second and third base by DJ LeMahieu and Nolan Arenado, respectively, but he could see some at-bats at first against right-handed pitching (and even against some lefties if Mark Reynolds continues to battle a hand injury). McMahon’s role remains uncertain for now, but he is worth a speculative add in deeper formats given his talent, new home park and supporting cast.
